I held off on watching this one for a long time because a series based on "Psycho" didn't sound like it would be something I'd be interested in. However, I am currently watching the first season on Netflix, and I like it very much. It is a prequel (although set in modern times) that portrays how Norman Bates could have gotten to be the man that he was in the movie. It's not all blood and gore, or even your typical horror flick. The characters are developed very well, and there are sympathetic qualities in every major character in the show.
I haven't watched this series either but its mainly because I don't like to get into a weekly habit of having to watch something specific. The show always looked rather intriguing by the previews. Who knows, I may get into it at some point.
I started watching it when it first came out and was intrigue with it. It was well cast and the story was interesting. But, unfortunately, it conflicted with another show I was watching so I had quit watching. However, I too, saw that it's now on netflix and have put it in my queue. I'll probably start watching it again after I finish my latest "binge". It's good to hear that someone else liked it. Thanks for posting about it.
