Namaste all armchair travelers. I accidentally discovered what appears to be a great new travel service from Amazon. It's called "Amazon Explore". This new service gives you an immersive online virtual experience of being in faraway places. You have a real-live guide who runs the tour, which can either be a group of 7 people or a private tour with only you. On these interactive tours, you can ask questions of the guide, take photos, shop while you explore, etc. It's amazing! The tours last from 30 to 60 minutes, cost from $10 to $200, depending on whether you group tour or private tour. Tour locations are in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Australia, and Asia. I have not tried Amazon Explore yet because I found it only recently. There are so many places I would like to tour virtually like Great Britain, Italy, the Netherlands, China, Hawaii, etc. If you want to learn more about Explore, here is the link: https://www.amazon.com/b?node=19424628011&ref_=ae_nav_lae If any of you have already tried Amazon Explore, please share the experience with us. In the meantime, I will continue researching Amazon Explore and add new posts about what it has to offer. I am telling you that it sounds incredibly good. I hope it's not too good to be true. More later.
John, I'll check it out. Never know till we see. I pretty much get to see the world with a couple sailing families, one I've watched for about 7 years, other just a couple years, one is now off the coast of Africa and the other is in New Zealand waiting on their new catamaran to be finished. And of course, you already know about Jonna in Sweden.
Here is when they first decided to sail the world after seeing America in their RV for a few years, Gone With the Wynns, Sailing Zatara, this family of 6 decided to sell everything and sail around the world, Sailing Zatara
Very interesting! I glanced at both videos to get the general idea. Will watch them later. Thanks Marie.
Your welcome and I know it's not for everyone but over the years I enjoyed their adventures. Their latest videos are not that interesting, so I just visit another video.
Amazon Explore: Here is an example for a virtual tour of St. Mark's Square in Venice, Italy. As shown in the image, a 60-minute group tour with up to 7 people costs $39 and a private tour 1 on 1 with the host costs $159. If you have never been to Venice, this would be the next best thing for a visit because of the virtual and interactive interface.
John I'm sure it is fun but I like getting to know the people part during adventures as much as the travel, Like the Wynns being stuck in Tonga when they pandemic hit or being attacked by real pirates, which ended well. But thanks for the suggestion.
John, I've always wanted to visit Jerusalem, of course that will never happen. I've had all kinds of video visits over the years.
Namaste Marie. If you decide to try the Jerusalem tour, please share the experience. If I ever get around to using Amazon Explore, I will let you know the outcome. I probably will try some of the group tours which are reasonably price.
Good afternoon, John hope all's well with you. I'm doing better. I usually wen of the tours with a few preachers one over the years was Ken Klein who went over the deep in for awhilr but seems to have come back to normal last several years. I was interested in the Holy Land Temple, and its location, also the Great Pyramid's and the constellations in the Bible Pleiadies, Dragon, Orion. And of course, the Monument in the land of Seriad 'spl'. I was deep into the Bible study on my own with help of course.
