We're in Brunswick, Maine on a quick trip (two days) for an air show, with the Blue Angels and some historical aircraft, and I don't know what else yet, because it hasn't started yet. The actual air show isn't until tomorrow but they have a thing for veterans and Gold Star parents for the rehearsal.
I always watch the air show from my daughter's yard when they go there. You can see them practicing the day before. Its really almost above my daughter's house so the only things you miss are the things that happen on the ground and the crowds. I think I prefer the Blue Angels to the Thunderbirds but both put on a great show.
We've been to the air show here, which included the Blue Angels and Fat Albert. The shows were both at the beach and at the Naval Air Station. Both places were terrific, but the crowds were almost unbearable. Went to an air show in Colorado, at a small airport, and it was pretty neat as well. Not nearly the crowd that was at the beach or at the naval station, but that was fine with us and we do miss that one. We just don't seem to be into crowds that much anymore.
I can no longer watch them, any of them after watching the Ramstien Air Base air show in Germany where the Italians crashed.
