I switched three weeks ago and like the flavor and benefits over coffee. It's benefits are well known.
I only drank coffee for the caffeine but since my anxiety issues I quit, plus it was giving me acid reflux. I will on occasion take 100mg caffeine tablet..that doesn’t seem to bother me.
I switched to half caff, but I'm way beyond a morning coffee drinker. Two pots a day is more my norm. Just cutting down to half caff gave me a terrible headache for 2-3 days. If you didn't get the headache, it means you are/were a reasonable coffee drinker, I'm glad you are enjoying the switch!!
I have drank only half caffeine coffee for over 20 twenty years. I was told not to drink coffee because of an irregular heart beat - but the half caffeine has never bothered me. I only drink maybe three cups of morning . On rare occasions maybe extra cup or if very cold out will have a cup in afternoon.
Coffee. I drink coffee....lots of coffee. My coffee is ready by now. I’m going to get my coffee. Ahhhhh......now I can write! I do use tea as an additive to my daily gallon to two gallons of hydrating liquid that I use throughout the day. Basically it covers up the taste of the 5 grams of creatine, 15 grams of EAA’s, 15 grams of BCAA’s, 3 grams of vitamin C, 2 grams of macca root, and a few other things that would taste nasty if it were not for the tea. Okay, I’ll admit it. The tea that I drink is nasty.....But healthy.
I agree with @Shirley Martin , I would not want to give up my morning coffee, although I do enjoy the flavor of hot tea also, just not for my morning drink. I like flavored coffee. Right now I am drinking Coffee Fool’s Almond Joy flavored coffee, and it smells awesome and tastes delicious. Bobby uses our large coffee pot and has his morning 10 cups of coffee (less because it is a 20 oz mug), and when I get up, I use my little coffee pot which is supposed to make 4 cups, but in my mug is only about 2+ cups. In the late afternoon, I often make a small pot of hot tea, because it has less caffeine and I don’t want it to keep me awake at night. Green tea is okay, and I do drink it sometimes, but I like tea that looks like real tea, not the pale greenish color of green tea. I don’t think that I would want it instead of morning coffee, but i do agree, it is supposed to be very healthy and has lots of anti-oxidents.
Maybe I’ll give green tea a try again...I have a ton in my pantry...does it expire? I do miss drinking something warm in the morning...a pill doesn’t cut it. I won’t do decaf because it’s not the coffee I like but the caffeine.
