James Holzhauer, who was 58,484 from Ken Jennings’ 2.52 million win, bowed out on tonight’s show. James H. is a professional gambler. He had the correct answer, but only bet 1, 399. He’s never placed a bet that low. During his streak he won an average of $77,000 per game, more than double Jennings’s rate. “Enough is Enough,” Trebek said tonight as he spoke for the two other contestants at the beginning of the show. Trebek can have the spotlight back now. Maybe it’s because of his illness, but I didn’t think he behaved like himself, at all, during most of this. It was amazing to watch James Holzhauer play the game. He also seemed like a genuinely nice guy.
I don't like Jeopardy as well since they allow the contestants to stay on until they lose. I liked it better when there was a 5 game limit and a championship at the end of the year when all the 5 day winners competed against each other. It looks like it is rigged when someone is allowed to run on and on, kinda like the $64,000 Dollar Question many years ago. I stopped watching when James passed a million.
@Don Alaska It seemed unusual the way J H would look down in front of him often when he would get the Jeopardy or Double Jeopardy questions, but I would be shocked if any cheating took place. Someone online said, "Alex Trebek wanted James to lose. Anyone could tell throughout the shows Trebek did not like him." I agree with that.
Please forgive me if this post is not a "bulls-eye" when it comes to being "on topic"! Celebrity Jeopardy!: French Stewart, Burt Reynolds, & Sean Connery - SNL
Jeopardy James is back for the Tournament of Champions. Unfortunately, the local station shows a rerun from a comedy now, instead of Jeopardy. I sure hope he wins the tournament.
