I knew that some of the old movie stars could dance but I bumped into one of today's pieces of music that features quite a few of yesterday's dancers. There is a possibility that some of the folks here have never heard "Uptown Funk" nor seen Fred Astaire or even Shirley Temple dance to it but...........Here it is in living color. Enjoy.................
Enjoy listening to Classical Cello work, but sometimes you have to cut loose. Luka and Stjepan seem to understand their crowd...
For me, it's all Classical except for the dissonant composers such as Stravinsky, Bartok, Schoenberg, etc. Beethoven, Wagner, Schubert, and Tchaikovsky rule! The great American Broadway composers, such as Gershwin, Berlin, Rodgers and Kern. All Jazz, from Ragtime through Dixieland, Swing, and Modern. Folk Music, Pete Seeger, Joan Baez, Woodie Guthrie, The Kingston Trio. Country, Alan Jackson, Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, George Strait. NO ROCK, except for early Beach Boys and early Beatles. That's me on electric bass in our Senior Citizens Dance Band. I was about 72-73 then. all except myself and Sara, the drummer have passed away. The Pianist died at 101. That's it... Hal, age 81.
You do not have a picture on your avatar either, @Hal Pollner ! Some of us use actual pictures on the avatars, but most of us use other pictures that we like. With all of the internet scammers , it is just a lot safer for people not to use a picture of themself, although sometimes I do use one with my avatar. Here is mine, now it is your turn to add something so that your avatar is not blank when we read your posts here.
