Through out my secular career as a chef I admit that I preferred to stay away from the dessert department. The reason I had is that it is too time consuming and best left to those who like working with pastry bags, cake pans and flour not to mention huge blocks of chocolate. This morning I was perusing FB and here is a new type of cake that I have never seen before. Beautiful, artistic, no chocolate, no flour and no cake pans. Ya gotta check it out! https://www.facebook.com/faithfamilyamerica/posts/742536639258369
That's amazing. I would have to take 1,000 pictures before cutting it. That spoon/spatula/injection thingy is really cool. I'm not sure what I'd use it for, but now I want one!
I need to get whacked on the brain box. My first thoughts after I examined the workmanship was "do ya have to marry the mannequin/cake to undress it"? And later, " that's a great example of someone who is all frosting with no brain". Otherwise, somebody did a fantastic job!
Its beautiful, but how would you cut into it ? twould be like cutting up a body, the thought put me off it did ..........................
Praise the Lord and pass the frosting! I just gained 3# by looking at it. Great artwork! Now, try shipping that to the World Culinary Olympic site this year!
I had put that video on my FB page last month, and my 32 year old granddaughter, D'Ann, has been practicing that method since. She makes cakes for all occasions, and now has built a small side business. She is an accountant, and baking cakes is a distraction and an outlet for her. She really gets into decorating cakes such as this one.
