I still operate an internet business selling vintage children's books and ephemera. My wife started the business thirty years ago and became a very successful and prominent rare bookseller. I don't share my wife's flare for salesmanship, but once she started showing symptoms of Alzheimer's, I've had to take over the business. My wife's condition has steadily worsened and early in 2014 I had to place her in a nursing home. So a new role I've
had to adopt is as advocate for my wife which I do by visiting her every day and paying close attention to how she is cared for. Beside business and care-giving, I've also had learn some domestic and culinary skills, because this is just about the first time in my life I didn't have a caring women in my immediate life.
