What is the single most important exercise you do?

One week of 2 hour one on one somewhat intense physical therapy which sends me straight to the hot but and I can get off the floor without turning it into a grab fest. Monday needling! My 30 minute evening stretches get cat scanned and commented by our sofa lion. She sits next to me, cocks her head, thinks a bit and then shows me how it is really done.

Hitting the weights and cables etc are all really important to me but to me they are all totally inclusive for my physical and mental health. No single exercise is greater than the other unless one counts that any exercise using the quads extensively produces the most testosterone.

That said, the very most important exercise I do is thanking the Lord each morning for just giving me the ability to get out of bed and giving me the ability to do those physical things I wish to do. A lot of people can’t do that so I do definitely give thanks.

The next exercise of importance is grunting through about 50 sets of 1 rep each doing hammer curls with my coffee cup which is Heavily ladened with black coffee.

It's hard for me to judge importance. If importance is gauged by the number of calories eliminated, that would probably be the elliptical glider. However, time spent on the elliptical feels like drudgery, and I'm always thinking about other things I'd rather be doing. I value walking or, more specifically, hiking along ATV trails, game trails, or railroad beds, as being the most valuable because I can get exercise in and enjoy doing it. Walking on sidewalks or designated walking trails is more enjoyable than the elliptical glider, but not as interesting as walking in the woods.

To think about it a bit further, there’s one exercise that’s not necessarily classified as an exercise that I absolutely know that everyone enjoys the most provided that one is still physically able.
Burns 250+ calories per session, highly aerobic, includes every single muscle grouping and produces more serotonin and dopamine than nearly any other activity known to mankind.
Ya don’t need special shoes, clothing nor a membership to a gym or necessarily need costly equipment to do and can be accomplished in virtually any amount of space as is needed at the time.
And, a person doesn’t need a special trainer nor an instruction manual nor a YouTube video to do albeit some have found them helpful in order to maximize the exercise’s results.

To be sure, no, I ain’t talkin’ about sitting in the lotus position whilst doing deep breathing exercises but rather a dalliance for couples, hanky-panky, a coupling between consenting adults or even “gettin’ it on”.

Open my mind. That's a hard muscle to flex sometimes, but if you exercise it regularly, it gives you a new outlook on life.
And, the human brain needs and uses roughly 200 calories a day so in theory, the more tasks it has to accomplish, the more calories it burns. :)

We do dancing as most know , that not only involves our legs / body movements but our brains to remember the steps of each dance
however it doesn't count our steps ,so after dancing for 2 + hours it will say we’ve done about 1200 steps

So dose the brain work count as exercise as well 🤣🤣 @John Wick

Of course we maintain our home and garden that involves bending and twisting especially in our small garden

We walk as well , and it’s good having our Apple Watch to keep a eye on what we’ve done in the way of walking

On average it’s around the 3-4 km a day
