I was talking to my sister last night and she said the same thing. All she wants to do is sit in her recliner with a book and a glass of iced tea. I told her to do whatever she pleases and enjoy it. Nobody cares if there are dust bunnies under the bed; read the book.

Yeh, but I need to have firewood delivered and I gotta stack it. I usually have this done by April. Last year it was June. It's still undone. I also got vines growing up buildings...yet here I sit.

I sometimes think I procrastinate because the relief when I finally get off my ass is an unparalleled rush.
 
I'm watching the final Little League World Series Softball Championship game (Kentucky v North Carolina.) It's kinda fun watching the giggly girls farting around with each other in the dugout, and then they're laser-focused pros on the field of play. Then when the inning is over, they're laughing and high-fiving their way off of the field.

Besides that, they're all damned good...even the team that's trailing.

(The games just ended. NC won 2-0)
 
@John Brunner , This summer weather has not been conducive to getting busy, especially with outdoor things.

Yesterday morning was a great hour on the tractor. The weather had a short window to where I felt like doing something and tha was putting the big salt blocks out, plus mulching down a huge pile of wasted hay. One pile — there’s a lot more..

There are all manner of vines growing everywhere. I have repeatedly cloroxed the Virginia creeper & poison ivy behind the horses water tubs because I don’t want to use anything more toxic near their water. Meanwhile it continues to annoy me with occasional itchy dots, no matter how careful I am.

This stuff generally quiets down by now, but not this year. Soon as I am able to stop paying the lawn service for mowing, I am going to pay them to weed whack my fences and whatever else needs the vines cut back. I don’t have the money to do it all at once so I have to wait until the mowing is done and trade that in for weed whacking for a month .

Don’t get upset with yourself, blaming on the weather😇😇
