What Are You Doing Today?

I didn't do a lot. My neighbor called me because a small tree had fallen and was intruding into our right-of-way...and I have a tractor. You could still get around but it was a bit of a hazard. So I drove up and shoved it back into the woods and cleaned up the debris. As long as I was up there I shoved some other stuff back that was close to the road, and then on my way back cleaned up some limbs we had trimmed from his trees a while back but had not pushed into his woods.

We went dancing at the venue we’d danced at for close to 12 years ,for last time , it finished …firstly the couple who ran it for 25 years ,had to give it up just over 12-months ago due to illness ….he died 2 weeks ago

The new person playing the music has no idea how to run a dance ,despite being paid to do so ,so the committee said enough and sacked him ….
We was unsure if we’d make it due to hubs having a AF attack this morning that left him quite dizzy for a while ( he’s got pills to take if he has an attack)
but he felt ok by lunch time to go dancing 🕺 music was OK / passable wouldn’t say good ….just passable
Nice Hall / good sprung wood floor for dancing ….cant do our dancing on concrete floors ,even if they have a vinyl / Lino covering its to hard on the legs

Heading out to run errands. I have some things to drop off at Goodwill and need to go to UPS, etc. It's already sweltering outside.
I have two large boxes full of clothes that need to go to Goodwill, but I don't have the good will to fight the traffic getting there.

I have no idea what I will do today, but it will be a masterclass in wasting time and burning daylight. I may do laundry, but that isn't carved in stone yet.

It has been a good day today……… and productive even.
Bobby helped me with the raspberries, and I got all of the ones moved that were crowding out into the walking area in the back , and cleared space for them along the side fence out front and planted them out there.
With all the rain we had yesterday, the ground was perfect for transplanting, and they have several days to recuperate and adjust to their new home before the hot weather gets here.

The ones left out back are up close to the house outside of the kitchen, and tied to the trellis that I had put up several years ago when we first planted the raspberries there.
Now, there is enough room for Bobby to be able to get to the kitchen window and put up the small AC we use in the kitchen in the summer, and we will be needing it by next week.

I made a roast and rice with veggies for our daily meal, and then we had ice cream this afternoon, from the Ninja Creami. I made the chocolate mocha/coffee flavor again, we enjoyed that a lot the last time I made it.
Now, everything is done that needs done for the day, dishes and laundry done, so it is time to kick back in my recliner and maybe read for a while.

I unloaded a couple hundred pounds of horse & dog feed, and a bag of cheap bird seed.

Weather should still be nice tomorrow, so my hope is to fuel up the JD and get the rest of the old hay removed from under the overhang. Farrier should be here end of week, so that area needs cleaned up; the Arab is a messy rascal, he does a great job of pulling hay out of the barn🙄 It’s supposed to hit 96-97 real temps by the weekend and stay that hot thru next week. Oh happy day🤢🤢

I have let Virginia Creeper & it’s good buddy poison ivy get out of control behind the water tubs under the overhang. I got a good dose of them on one arm, which tissed me off, so I mixed some Clorox/ Dawn dish soap and poured it over the vines. That killed the poison ivy but the Virginia creeper laughed. I now have a gallon of Roundup that kills poison ivy and its friends. It will be mask & gloves time,

That’s what I get for not paying attention. Nothing was growing during the drought, then the rains came and everything shot up. 🫣🤯🫣🤯
