Put on my undertaker hat and retrieve a gold fish. Deal with a cauldron of vegetable/potatoe soup which is my quiet standby for “food now” situations. Then get back to beading.
I got some beef on sale with my grocery order, so I've been portioning packages and vacuum-sealing them for the freezer. HEB had prime sirloin on sale and it is really gorgeous marbled beef so I'm happy that I bought some.
I puttered around the backyard, pulling a few weeds. Like Krystal, I'm in the doldrums and need to snap out of it. At least my headache is gone today.
Resting a bit after washing & vacuuming my car - and complaining about needing to rest. Friends tell me I should feel lucky to be able to do things like that, but ya know that old saying, "Those who suffer the least sometimes cry the loudest."
Later, I'll go for my usual walk.
I’m planning on making up a few freezer meals from mince beef I buy from Costco needs using up …it been in the freezer for about 4-5 months ….ive got some instant lasagne sheets so that makes it easy to make one lot of the beef into about 2-3 meals each
I don’t like that white sauce between layers so I’ll use ricotta or crème fresh
I’ve got a friend who gos to Bali once a year and I gather good quality clothing ( of mine ) I’ve bought new for dancing ….and never worn or rarely worn ….to take to Canbera for her …to take to Bali in September
So that’s one job
Made a lasagne
Made meat rissoles for the freezer
Did a little bit of shopping ( ricotta for the lasagne ) it’s just about done ..I can smell it
Looked for gravy beef to make a stew ( for the freezer ) none in the shop
