What Are You Doing Today?

Yesterday when I got in after an hour of yard work and done in by the heat SO had the stove out and disassembled. I had mentioned a new stove. Yes, it took a lot of effort to scrub through the enamel around a burner and that spot starred at me every day. He replaced both top pans, cleaned silicon off with Red gun cleaner. It is a keeper! Then he pulled the fridge out. We found the Ghosty, our floof cat:)

There is no way around dealing with several buckets of assorted peppers. Winter will come one day.

First of all, early this AM I adjusted my attitude and found a speckling of my sense of humor.

Update on cancer. PET scan for specific cancer complete and waiting results. The doctors are looking for any spread with the tailbone being the first place it would go with this kind of lower lady business cancer. It is slow growing, but once spread to tailbone, can rapidly go up the spine to brain and out to other organs. OK, enough of that for now.

I did get out and mow the lawn yesterday, although my energy level was paltry. Luckily, I found no dog or opossum :poop: in the lawn, so my attitude was exemplary, well for me, but as a national average of us older folks, it was a bit sour and some of the words that slipped my lips, were not acceptable according to my old family, leather bound, good book.

Today, I will watch rodeo. To be specific, professional team bull riding. My apologizes to @Cody Fousnough for being an old ranch girl and calling just bull riding, rodeo. Us ranch folks up here in 🐂 country, call any gathering of 🐂 's,🐎 's, even 🐑 (mutton busting), and 🤠's, a roundup or rodeo.

Good morning to all-

Dark-thirty went out and spread straw in the chicken yard- lots of rain and the chicken poop have made a mucky mess.

This morning early went to the social and civic center of our town- that would be Wal-Mart, don't you know- and got some foodstuff and also some heavy-duty outdoor caulking for the leaking roof vent.

Son #2 went up on the roof and caulked the leaking vent- did a good job, I think. Glad I didn't have to go up there. A metal roof can be as slick as snot. I held the ladder and gave advice.

Then I came in, washed up and made some spaghetti noodles- I make some very, very good noodles from scratch. wife made her excellent spaghetti tomato and beef sauce. We'll eat well for lunch, today, we will.

Plan on watching some football and baseball later today.

I am thinking about hooking up the fishing skiff next week on a nice day and trying to pester some redfish.

Life is good- very good- and I give thanks for it.

you all be safe and keep well- Ed

I’m listening to the local radio station that plays 70’s and some 80’s music on Sundays. 🎶 It takes me back and makes me smile and remember so many things about my youth. :)Then the music makes me sad, and I think about how much time has passed.:(

I was doing a little dusting and picked up our wedding picture. I wondered who are those young people in this picture, and where did they go! We will be married for 50 years in a couple of years. Time seems to go by pretty quick now for some reason. One would think the days or months would drag on and on, since there is no job or other important things to tend to. Time doesn't stop for anyone. It's the ebb and flow of life, I suppose.

It's Sunday, and my plan is to do as little as possible. I most likely will not leave the house, not even to visit my lady friend. I just need a day of solitude and peace and rest.
That is a hoot, Hoot! Not visiting your lady friend, because you need solitude, peace, and rest. :ROFLMAO:

My friends can relate to this with my ability to talk. My being single is no mystery to those that know me. :ROFLMAO:
