It looks like this is really happening, and by tonight, we might be even able to start working on putting together our new SOC2.0. It will be so great to start building this and being able to socialize and chat together again !

As we register, just say so on this thread, so we can see who is here so far. Ken will be happy to see that we are able to register and chat together again!

I am thrilled. This is the first time I've logged in here because I just noticed it had been installed moments before we left on a trip to Maryland. We're at a hotel in Danvers, Massachusetts right now. Thus far, the travel has been miserable, with snow and now rain.
 
Feel free to use this thread for whatever you might want to say. I am going to need some time on the back end to figure out how to set things up. Meanwhile, we should all figure out what we want to set up. If you'd like to refresh yourself on what we had before, not everything is archived but all of our categories and forums archived on the Internet Archive

I am going to be in the back end for a bit to refresh myself on how to set things up and see what's changed since 2015. Those of you who wanted smilies/emojis should be happy.
 
Please keep in mind that the board isn't entirely set up yet - it's just bare bones right now and I am still trying to remember what I did before and figure out the new stuff, so I don't have all the answers.
 
I looked at the archive, and it seems like the way you had it before had just about everything on it, but some of the categories that did not get as much use could be left out this time.
The people who play games seem to nit be involved in conversations all that much, and the people who enjoy discussion are not usually playing games; so I think that games could be left off, at least for now.

Health, doctors, nutrition and health insurance are something we spent a lot of time discussing , too. Hobbies are good, most of us have some kind of hobby.
Instead of “off-topic” and “don’t know where it goes”, maybe some category that is kind of a catch-all place for stuff that doesn’t fit in any actual category, kind of a daily life section, or something like that.
