Tomorrow Plan To Take Dogs To Beach

After further research, it ain't gonna happen!
They used to keep the beaches drivable at least most of the time. Not anymore as evidenced by video.
I'm not walking with 4 large dogs to the beach from parking lot, when we took 8 of the oldest grandkids a couple decades ago you could drive without much problem long as you paid attention.
I even drove my Skoolie on it just fine.
Jake just said, ' we can go to the river!! I don't want to hear the word 'river' a beach trip would happen before that.
Not to speak of walking river bank with 4 large dogs on leashes.

Boy was this a good example of a bad idea! Thank goodness it didn't happen.
I can just see us being dragged to the water with these two large hypo energetic dogs.
I need to see how they walk on a lease. River trip I wasn't walking more of a crawl. They did great.
But they do love water, so beach would be more tempting.
Still may try it in a few days just to get out of here for a while. Next few days, we are suppose to have record breaking heat for February.

Marie, you probably should postpone a beach trip with the dogs until your muscle pulls are healed. Maybe just you and Jake go for a couple of hours to relax!
Beth I think your right about that.Just a couple slow motion walks on trail this week put me back in pain.
So much for 'healthy' exercises, anyone even mention new healthy exercise will be politely ignored.

@Marie Mallory , what are the rules for taking your dogs on Augustine beach? Are you allowed to unleash them once they're at the water?

I've been wanting to take mine, but have never had the chance. Goober has only ever been to ponds and small streams / creeks. Sam's never seen 'big' water at all.

BTW, we are apparently neighbors of a sort. I'm about 15 miles from Augustine beach.

Dave dogs have to be on a leash at all times, although past the waves I'm sure it's ok.
We let one of our dogs loose in the water and she tried to swim way out ,really scared us so we never did that again.
We're an hour and a half inland from the beach.
