Things I Miss

I miss being able to carry on a conversation with someone while simultaneously typing 100+ words a minute. Maybe I could still do that; I haven't had the occasion to try since I quit teaching. Even then, it was more of a show than a necessity. I learned that it impressed people. I liked having people ask, "How do you do that?"

Of course I miss my family and friends especially my parents.

if I can just feel the experience of playing another baseball game I would be in heaven. "Play ball" if you're the home team you run out of the dugout onto the field, there's crisp stark white ball to start the game, soon it will have shades of brown and green from the dirt and grass. In the majors they change the ball every time it makes contact with a bat, or touches the ground. We used the same ball throughout the game unless it became unretrievable.
I'd run out to the Hot Corner (3rd base) and positioning myself depending on if a righty or Lefty was at bat, if they had power or could barely hit the ball out of the infield. I'd be on my toes waiting for the first pitch.

I played a lot of baseball and was pretty good at it. I miss putting on the uniform and the competition of the game.

Tony I too loved playing ball, softball that is, I played up till 50, my last time in a league. Also, my first and last time on a co-ed team!:(
My first time was in 1976.
I played first base till I turned 50 then I was right field.
