This game is simple, you just write a line or two from a song, and the next player picks something out of what you wrote, and posts a line or two of some song they know. The lines from your song don't need to be sequential, and the story does not have to make any sense. In fact, something that doesn't make sense is better than something that does. There's no need to name the band or the song, but it has to be a real song lyric. Here's an example...

I'm goin' to the country, baby, do you want to go?
If you can't make it, baby, your sister Lucille said she wanna go

And the next player might write...

I'm going where the water tastes like wine
We can jump in the water, stay drunk all the time

And the next player might choose to write about traveling and write...

Well I was rollin' down the road in some cold blue steel
I had a bluesman in the back, and a beautician at the wheel


And so on... Are you ready? Let's go!

Can it be only one line long instead??

Well, a line or two, could be a line or four just as easy... The point is to make each other laugh. The only real "Rule" is song lyrics. It could be about anything the last post makes you think of. Try not to repeat anything from the previous posts. What you write doesn't have to about a word or a phrase, it can be random thoughts inspired by the previous post. Such as you wrote "Because I'm working nine to five" as a natural response to "I got no time for livin', I'm working all the time", but it could just as easily be a reference to "I get up at seven, yeah, and go to work at nine", or both. It doesn't really matter. Because as I said before, it doesn't have to make sense either.

Also, the title of this thread was an oops on my part. I was going to suggest collectively writing a story, a short section at time. We had one on the PC Pitstop forum that was almost 600 pages long. But then it was dinner time, and when I came back I wrote about this game instead, and forgot to change the name. If people are interested, I could start one of those games too.
