This thread is for all of those small appliances that we have in the kitchen, or wish we had in the kitchen, or just want to know what others think about them. I know we have talked about instant pots, percolators, blenders, and other kitchen gadgets, but this thread will be especially for that.
I am looking at the Ninja Foodies, and wondering if anyone here has one, or has an opinion about them ? Around 10 years ago, my daughter gave me one of the (new at that time) Ninja 3-in-1 Cooking Systems, and I just loved that little cooker. It heated up enough to brown meat when you were going to make a roast, it fit a whole chicken perfectly to bake, and it could be like a stovetop cooker or a slow cooker, either one.
A friend was having a hard time trying to work and raise her grandkids (I don’t remember what happened to the mother), so I gave her my Ninja Cooker because it made everything so easy.
I have missed it ever since.
I have a good crockpot, but it does not do anything else except be a crockpot, so if I want to make a roast and brown it first, I have to use a different appliance to do that, and I don’t have anything else that fits a whole chicken as well as that Ninja did.
I noticed that the Ninja Foodie comes in two sizes, and the smaller size is the same as my old Ninja cooker was, so I am really thinking about getting one and it would replace the slow cooker, and be great for stuffing a chicken and roasting it.
It seems to have prices all the way from around $100-$250, and it all looks like the same cooker to me, and the smaller one costs about the same price as the larger one does.
This is what my old one looked like, and I found some on eBay, but they are so old now, it makes more sense to get one of the newer ones instead, if I get one at all.
