Shopping--What did you buy?

@Beth Gallagher - do have any idea why after 4 years of receiving toilet tissue at the door from Amazon, I suddenly get this-
attempted delivery, will try again later. Plus it shows it may have tried to be delivered to the POffcice here ?. We were home all day, door bell works, no attempt here. I can not get anything out of Amazon's customer service Alexa crap.
I also do not know why the tissue is separate from rest of the order. Has something changed ?

Beats me. Was it shipped via Amazon truck or USPS? You can look at the tracking information or try to contact Amazon customer service.

I rarely have a problem with Amazon delivery, so I haven't had a chance to use their Alexa.
But that's a good one - delivery problem with toilet paper & Alexa crap.
Hearing about it kinda left me feeling flushed.
 
Notice how all the Stuff we bought over the years,have suddenly become 10 -20 years old and failing in health?
Ever say to spouse - we just bought that 3 years ago? But if you look it up up its at least 7 years and was only good for 5. ;)
We have had to replace mostly little things since moving here. The biggest were the recliners, so needed they were..then tires and expensive. The washing machine is next. It does not just walk a little bit tries to run back to Texas. Had it fixed then once again... then had to replace my small oven I use for everything.:(
I need to replace potato peeler, can opener ( pushing this to keep working) scrub brushes- the list grows

Surepost is a function of UPS, but they deliver the package to the local post office for final delivery. So the package travels to your town via UPS but is then handed off to the USPS for delivery to your house.

If you go to your order page on Amazon, there should be a "where's my stuff?" button or something similar. They have a chat option, too.

Re: The washer. When I was around 4, the washer scared the shortcake out of me & gave me nightmares. I heard a thumping noise & went to the laundry room & the washer was walking across the floor. I thought it was alive & coming to get me. My washer has a counterbalance so it doesn't happen regardless of how I load it.
 
The Toilet tissue was delivered to the post office. But why after all these years?'I am still going to check that out. The other stuff that was not due until Wed...came today. The hose 2&1 holder show to have been opened before, and inside the clear plastic was opened and the screws and etc scattered thru out the box. Well, that never happened before. :oops:

Maybe the post office employees have nothing to go on.
 
Amazon is definitely on a downward spiral; they have all kinds of issues lately. Poor shipping, poor customer service, sending out "returns" as new, etc. The Reddit Prime sub is loaded with complaints. Such a shame, since Amazon has been my go-to for many years now.
 
I could not find the metal shaft grass cutter I talked about before, but I found another one with a wooden shaft and a sharp blade. It was in an old shed with a leaky roof, so the blade part was rusted and the handle was rotted. I cleaned up the blade and went shopping for a handle. I found a handle the proper diameter but it was too long and would have needed a length sawed off and mounting holes drilled through. You may remember the grass cutter I bought at ACE Hardware that was dull, so I returned it? Well, it was only $3 more than the too-long handle. Not only is its handle the proper length, the mounting holes are in the right spot for the sharp blade I have...so I bought it back.
