Shopping--What did you buy?

We have one of those, too, @Kate Ellery . Bobby got it and he uses it a lot when he is cooking something. Ours is not the Ninja one, but it is very similar to that one.
We are heading over to Canbera ( again for the 6 th time ) in September , and I’m going to take it with me as we need to stay at a motel one or 2 nights on the way ,and while motels rooms have microwaves this will be better for heating a pre prepared meal I always make something for on the road meals ,hate buying rubbish food from shops ….

I had in mind to make a toasted ham / cheese sandwich ….what sort of foods do you / Bobby cook in it ?
I’ve got a larger mini oven type at home , but I’m fairly new to using air fryers ,as I only got one about 6 months ago
I’ve only cooked veggies in the new one so far

We’ve got a little 240/ 12 volt car fridge @Yvonne Smith

Canbera is 1500 km from us

As you are going on vacation please keep it simple. Ham and cheese sandwich, sausage and vegetables, hamburgers and buns, … What do you normally eat please?

We are sorta boring …food wise @Marie Miller ( well that’s what we’ve been told )
We normally eat at least 3 veggies and meat most days , not a lover of stir fry meals , yesterday I cooked potatoes / pumpkin/ carports in thr air fryer , cooked fresh Brussels sprouts

Sometimes we have poached eggs for tea ( our evening meal ) ……or homemade soup …...we are going out dancing today , so evening meal is going to be can of tomato soup with a left over bit of pizza flatbread I got in Woolworths a couple of days ago ( not really pizza fans , prob have one or two a year)

Yesterday ……I had a chicken breast fillet so a cut it up as fine as I could ( I’m not home ) or I’d used my kitchen whizz , added a 1/2 cup of rolled oats / tablespoon of grated cheese / tablespoon of chutney / 1 egg / little bit of chopped red onion and made chicken rissoles ….they were delicious Nice tang from from chutney ….Cooked them in a frypan cause I was using the air fryer …..but I might try AF next time
or even oven cook in mini muffin pan

Not really a holiday ,we go to Canbera to take care of a friends little dog for about 3 weeks , it’s our last trip to Canbera cause our dear friend is moving to be with her daughter in Queensland as she’s getting a bit wobbly on her feet and is scared of living alone now days
She’s been widowed since she was 50…she’s 78 now

Kate, you are a good friend.
Omletts are always a good choice. You may wand to prep some fillings at home and freeze them. Should hold for 2/3 days.
Yes I’ve been known to make omelettes if I’ve got left over veg I’ll make one for our meal using the veg topped with cheese, and maybe a bit of cooked bacon / ham
We’ve got a car fridge ,so we carry butter / milk / bread any pre prepped foods ,it holds a fair bit for a little fridge
It runs on the car 12v or 240 mains power

I’m pretty resourceful when it comes to food prep , I grew up in a home with parents who drank/ smoked and staved us 8 kids ( I’m the eldest )
so I guess i can thank them for teaching me the hard facts of life at a early age …….but I never followed their bad habits

Oh my goodness, how cute is that little dog! :D

I've got a long list of refrigerated stuff to buy since we had a power outage, so I've been on Walmart's website getting the Aisle# for things I don't buy that often and am unsure of the location. As long as I was on the site, I checked to see if they stock a gasoline stabilizer I use for my rarely-driven truck. Apparently at some point (probably when I bought tires) I put my truck information in my Profile. When the Product Page for the stabilizer came up, I got this message:

Apparently, this fuel additive won't fit my truck. That sucks.

Stoped at Langston’s Western Wear. Five shirts for SO. One wild black and white Rock’n Roll, one turquoise Cinch with short sleeves in a tech fabric to wear with shorts. Manager gave me 50%. I found nothing:(
