Shopping--What did you buy?

I don't believe I've ever seen 3 volt batteries before. I was all ready to invest in some Ni-Cd rechargeables and a charger for my game cams (Ni-Cd do better than other battery types in temperature extremes) when I read that rechargeable batteries of all types are lower than the standard 1.5 volts, and the electronics in many game cameras require a full 6 volts (4 x 1.5v) to operate.

So far so good on the lighted mailbox numbers.

Came on as expected. I'll see how far they make it through the night - but today was a pretty solid day for charging sunshine.

Range of colors seems to be more like 8 than 10 or even 12, but there are three "whites" among them that all work for me. No idea what the 2 advertised "dynamic" color modes are. Maybe multicolor? In any case I could produce them experimenting with the one button used for on/off and cycling through the colors. The terse instruction sheet makes no mention of the matter at all.

Lighting is dim enough not to wash out the numbers and probably helps stretch the battery charge each night. But at the same time it is definately bright enough to be useful to drivers.

If you don't need the stakes, it appears this product is also available without them. Maybe $4 cheaper.

are other brands and styles of this kind of thing so some shopping around might be worth your time.

Thanks! The entrance to my place has a section of fence on either side of the driveway.

I looked at the product page and see that the collector panel is on the top of the frame. I can hang the sign on that fence and not worry about mowing around the sign or a separate collector panel.

These batteries are designed as weapon lights - either attached to the weapon or handheld. They have a 10-year life so a firearm kept for emergencies & not used often will still have usable light.

I just got a rechargeable stick vacuum, and I really like it so far ! I have been thinking about getting one for a while, but they were either cheap and not very useful, or they were out of my budget price.
This one can be used with the long wand and roller head, like a regular upright vacuum, and it works on both hard floors and on carpet. Since it is cordless, I can just grab it and take it anywhere i want to vacuum.

It has attachments ,and can also be used as a handheld vacuum, but I have not tried doing that yet. It is lightweight enough that it is easy for me to pick up and carry to wherever I want to use it, but strong enough to do a good job of cleaning up the floor.

Yvonne, you will be very pleased with your purchase. I have a Kenmore who goes by Max. The stick died. Now we have Max II and an extra vacuum.
Several of our senior friends got a Max and everybody loves him.

These days I can never have enough light. Lately I'm doing a lot of plugging in cords and turning outlets on or off at my battery powerstation devices. No big deal in excellent light and up near eye-level, but black-on-black design near floor level and around the back.. lots of silly fiddling and trying and missing purely by touch. So far so good however, I haven't zapped myself yet.

I went for a pair of these mini camping light dealies. Should have multiple uses even including a light kept in the car in case of tire changing, etc. A 2-pack in black was just over $15.

Sometimes the conventional flashligt form-factor is too awkward. This can be a table lamp outside, a hanging lamp from its hook, or even carried like a lantern or shining its secondary small "beam" light.
