Sam’s Club+ and Walmart+ are merging !

I just got notifications today about this. You can now merge the two and save money by doing so, at least in some cases you can. A Sam’s Plus membership is $110 annually, and Walmart+ is $98 annually (more if you pay monthly). If you merge the two accounts, you get the benefits of both, and it costs $120 for everything, so it seems like a good savings.

We have the Walmart+ Assist, which is $49 annually, so even that and the $110 for Sam’s + would be more than the merged price. However, we share the Sam’s card with my daughter, so for us, it is not any better of a deal that what we already have now. Plus, you can’t use EBT food benefits for delivery from Sam’s, you still have to use them in-store.

I had a nice long chat with Bing Copilot and asked all the questions about what everything would cost and what benefits we would (or would not) have by merging, so for us, for now, we will just stay with what we have. If later, Sam’s makes some allowances for seniors with Medicare benefits, then I will look at it again.
But for regular members using both programs, it looks to me like it would be a good deal.

I've read you get a pro-rated refund of your Walmart+ membership fee when you merge the two accounts. I believe you have to link them somehow (maybe by email address?)
