Problem with the Find Member function

I'm having a problem with the Find Member function. I go to the Members section, type a Member Name in the Find Member field, and a name appears. I click on the Member Name and it disappears...and I am not taken to their Profile. Nothing happens, other than the found Name going away. I don't know if this function has stopped working or if it is my system. Can someone test this?

When I do it, it takes me to her profile, and this account has the same permissions as yours.

Thanks for testing this, everyone. I have no idea what this issue was, but this morning it works fine for me. I don't shut my system down overnight (or even have my laptop "Sleep" or "Hibernate"), but I do close my browser and reopen it in the morning. But this site is set to be exempt from Clearing Cookies when I do that so I stay logged in.

It's odd...I've never had any issue with forum functionality. But it's fine now.

I have a different issue. In the box for posting the strip of options across the top of the box is pale and I can't use the emojis.

By clicking Preview at the upper right of your draft, Preview turns black and the options show up.

Nah, it was some weird browser issue, Kate. I always close my browser before I got to bed (but leave my laptop powered up), and when I opened my browser the next morning, the function worked.

edit to add: When I went to post the comment I got an error message that there was a problem with the "Forum Console." I've never encountered that. The comment posted on the second try. Maybe there's some weird conflict with this version of Firefox.

@Mary Stetler: Click Preview to change it to Preview, and the strip of options should show up.
If not, then post a photo of the screen in case there is some other issue.

Mary--I was playing around with formatting options earlier and my "strip of options" disappeared, too. I logged off the forum and went to browser settings, deleted history and cached files, then logged back in to SOC. That seems to have fixed the issue for me.

If you can't remember your password, ask Ken to reset it to a temporary one. Once you get that temporary password, go to your account and reset your password to something you'll remember and write it down.

My browser has the ability to remember my passwords and automatically retrieve them when I log on to a site. I'm fine using that feature for sites like this, but I don't do it for financial or other sensitive websites.
