Power Brakes, Power Steering

This could fit under Reminiscences as well, but do you remember when you first drove a car with power brakes and power steering? I damned near killed myself, particularly with the power steering, but getting used to power brakes resulted in some embarrassing moments, as well.

I remember a lot of stuff we dealt with on old vehicles. Back when carburetors were a thing, a hot summer day could result in 'vapor lock' and leave you sitting on the side of the road.

Remember when the rattletrap was overheating so you'd turn the heater on high when it was 100 degrees outside? Those were the days, buddy. :D

My first two cars did not have power brakes or steering - a Toyota Corolla & an Austin America. In my 20's, I had an old Benz restored. It did have power steering but it quit soon after I bought it. I drove it for several months anyway before fixing it. It wasn't too bad except when I parked.
