Is what I have been annoyed with for a few years.
From the Cleveland Clinic site:
“often called a "secondary cataract," is a clouding of the membrane (lens capsule) that holds your artificial lens. It happens when residual cells multiply on the capsule weeks, months, or years after cataract surgery, causing blurred vision and glare. It is corrected in-office with a painless, 5-minute YAG laser procedure. [1, 2, 3, 4]”
My ophthalmologist tells me at every visit that it’s not a big deal unless it’s really annoying me. It hasn’t annoyed me to the degree that I want him to
Remove it.
Medicare will pay for all of it because I have co-pay coverage so I’m not worried about the money part. I’m actually not worried about anything. It’s just another PITA to have to deal with, because I will probably have to get a ride to the Surgery Center where he had done my cataract surgery. I hate asking people for anything.
As usual, he dilated my pupils and that was a fun drive home – not really

My eye visits have elevated from once a year to six months and now this time four months. Guess I better keep paying my Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance.
