I’d booked the health bus to come home from which picks up from the hospital where hubs was , but while there we bumped into our neighbours ( he ( neighbour ) had an appointment for 2 confirmed melanomas he has on his neck )

who said they were going home ,so we could tag along with them , they charged us thier parking fee of $24 + $ 60.00 for Petrol
pretty mean when hubs has saved them hundreds if $$+ doing jobs for them that required a trades person ( hubs is qualified/ licensed to do )and charged nothing

The Heath bus would have cost us $14 + a taxi from where it stops …at a guess $10 as bus stop is 3 km away

I’m making a nice roast lamb meal tonite , cause it makes it easy for another 2 - 3 meals of cold roast lamb
We only eat smallish meals like entree plate size ,and always have fresh cooked veggies / meat …not a lover of stir fry’s the sauces have lots of salt
We’ve been having porridge most mornings ,as it’s cold here , but seeming we only got home late yesterday , we had sliced banana with Vita Brit’s this morning @Marie Miller
I made him a water with cordial last night , but no water so far this morning it’s only just after .8.30 am ….so the days hardly started yet ….never mind he will get my expert advice real soon

I am so glad to hear that your husband is out of the hospital, and both of you are not back home where he can recuperate and get to feeling better again. The pacemaker should help a lot, I have been thankful that I have mine, even though i was not sure about getting it back when they first put it in.
Any news about the car insurance and finding another vehicle yet, or are you going to wait and see for a while before you look for a replacement vehicle ?

We have to wait for 3 weeks for a Lab report done by a independent forensic lab

I’ve already mentioned to the insurance company they won’t find anything stronger than black coffee in his blood tests
We’ve never used drugs , never likely to ….either …never even had an unlit cigarette in our mouths …hubs had a single glass of beer about a month ago , ….so it should be all clear ….no reason not to….

We’d just come from a morning dance , and none of our dance venues are licensed venues ( they are community halls )

It's the first time I saw this threat. So sorry you had to go through all this. Glad hubby is home, and things seem to be settling, at least a little. That was a horrible experience, wishing you a speedy return to normalcy.

hubs recently had his blood thinners changed by the cardiologist becuse the one he was on was causing really bad nose bleeds during the night

I googled the one he’s on now and it can cause blackouts

We’ve never used drugs , never likely to ….either

Blood thinners are diuretics which are drugs, right?
The misprescribed diuretics were probably the cause of the accident.
Note that blood volume x heart rate = cardiac output.
Reducing the blood volume with diuretics can result in the cardiac output being greatly reduced.

Thank you @John Walker I questioned the chemist about the blood thinners 2 weeks before the accident , he said they were ok
…..When I spoke to hubs …..he said why did the doctor give them to me if they are dangerous ?

I certainly hope all is getting better for you and your husband after the accident. Any anticoagulant/blood thinner can cause spontaneous bleeds--nose bleeds, rectal bleeds, stomach bleeds, and brain bleeds. A fib tends to cause what is called infarcts in the brain, one kind of stroke, but they can cause hemorrhagic strokes which is I guess what your hubby may have had, I had a friend who developed A fib and was put on Eliquis but began peeing blood shortly after which can cause compromised kidneys, so he went back to the ER and he had his dosage adjusted or his prescription changed, I don't know which. He was stable when I last had contact with him.

Gettin' old isn't for sissies, as we are all finding out as we age.

They may need help in future , he’s going into the same hospital , the first week of September to have a Melanoma re -done….as the margin wasn’t clear enough ….it was a cut about 6 inches long ….he's got 2 behind his ear …and one lymph gland ….Confirmed melanoma is not good news ….

My hubby would have done in excess of $5.000 worth of trades work for him ( them ) and his useless school teacher son who didn’t have a clue how to shorten the width of simple inside holland blinds x 12 of them

Dose anyone get the impression I’m not happy , about how we was treated in our time of high stress / need …then you’d be correct

Sorry …I’m a peace loving type of lady but sometimes , one can get emotional after such a traumatic event like we’ve both been through
it seems like it was weeks ago , but it was only just over a week ago …

he must have traveled from home with just enough petrol to get to the city, it cost us $ 60.00 to fill his tank at Costco the cheapest place to find petrol in Adelaide , his car is only small and a smaller engine than our Nissan had

That's awful. What selfish people they must be. Sorry y'all had to deal with that on top of everything else, Kate. "When someone shows you who they are, believe them."
