I got a new set of high-tech hearing aids today at local VA Clinic. Got my last ones in 2021, so I was due. The new ones are somewhat different than the old ones, but still are great. Nice thing is, didn't cost me/us a thing. My old ones are being sent back to the manufacturer to be cleaned, checked and a new battery put in each one. I will get them back in the mail and use as a back-up.
Unfortunately, the Audiologist we seen (my wife was with me) was wearing a facial mask. I politely ask the young lady "why?" and she told us she has a bad cough. Well, while in her office getting the new Hearing Aids, she sure wasn't kidding about her cough. She told us she has two young kids at home and that's probably where she got the cough. IOW, they brought it home from school, but then again, she could've caught something right there at the VA Clinic. Again, unfortunately, we didn't wear a mask into the Clinic, like we'd been doing when we lived in Henderson. We will wear one from now on though. When we got home, my throat was sore and I wasn't feeling as good as I was when we left. So, I took one daytime cold tablet.
In a couple of months, we will be getting our yearly Senior Double-Dose Flu Shot at Walgreens and will check to see if there is another Covid 19 Booster available to us.
