Nancy Guthrie Disappearance

This story just seems to have more and more twists and turns as they are searching for the missing woman, Nancy Guthrie, daughter of Savannah Guthrie , a television personality.
I imagine most everyone here has been following this story, but if not; here is what happened.
Last Saturday night, Nancy came home from a church meeting , accompanied by her other daughter, who lives nearby, and disappeared sometime during the night. When she did not show up for church the next day, friends called and didn’t get an answer, so they contacted her family.

The family discovered Nancy gone, the house in some kind of disarray, blood on the ground outside of the door, and the Ring camera was missing from the front door. There was evidence that someone had broken into the house and taken Nancy by force. She is 84 years old, disabled, uses a cane and has a pacemaker and depends on her heart medication, which was left behind.

Since she had Hispanics working for her, doing housework’s and cooking, the police first looked at that possibility and were going to talk with some of the hired help. Apparently, that didn’t go anywhere, although I do not think the idea has been dropped completely.
However, it turns out that Savannah’s husband was involved with both Epstein and also I with the Clinton’s , so it is possible that the presumed kidnapping had something to do with all of that somehow.

There was a ransom note, which was sent to a newspaper and also a television station, the owners of which happened to also be in the Epstein information recently released. It asked for several million dollars in bitcoin.
Another strange thing is that although Savannah Guthrie is a millionaire, she offered only a $2,500 reward for information leading the safe return of her mother. It was not a misprint.

The whole thing seems to be very confusing and none of the new information is going anywhere, as far as I can tell. The last I read, is that they are again searching the area around Nancy Guthrie’s home, which is a large and expensive home on around an acre of land, but outside of town and apparently, they do not have any security camera information. You would think that would have been online from the Ring doorbell, but whatever the police have, they are not saying much.

I am saddened that this elderly lady has to go through this awful ordeal, and I am hoping that somehow, they can rescue her alive.

I have seen a little about it but haven't been paying much attention. I have no idea who Savannah Guthrie is since I don't watch any of those annoying morning shows.

As for the Ring camera, if she had an active Ring subscription then any captured videos are stored on Ring servers and can be retrieved by law enforcement. Of course if the camera was in an accessible location it would have been fairly easy to drape something over it and pull it down. There are also devices that can jam the camera signal.

I had no idea who she was either, but thought it was awful that someone’s 84 year old mother would be kidnapped. Especially since she is dependent on medication to keep her alive, and they left it at the house. However, it has been several days, so they must have taken some of her medication along if she is still alive and they are asking for a ransom for her.
At first they said she would die within a day without the medication, but they all seem to still think that she is alive and want to deal with the kidnappers now.

I just watched the video that the daughters made, and it seems really strange to me. They have to read what they want to say about their mother, and sound like they are just reading something someone wrote, with no feeling into it at all. If it were my mother, I would have been crying and able to say how wonderful she was and how important to me, and not needed to read some kind of script.
Of course, we are all different, so maybe this is just how they are , but it seemed off to me.

From what I have heard, the lack of Ring info is because all the houses are set back from the street and sheltered by trees, so the cameras only record what is in front of the house. I don't know why the Ring at Guthrie's house doesn't show anything, but that was the story concerning the neighbor's houses. I once thought Savannah Guthrie would take the Today show in a direction I could watch, but she fell into the same Liberal Woke nonsense that permeates the media these days. She was said to be a brilliant attorney and a very active outdoorswoman, showing up Matt Lauer in an number of physical stuff before he was removed from the show. That was when she got started on the Today Show.

Apparently ransom notes have been received, but it is difficult to determine if they are real due to the publicity surrounding the kidnapping.

I think Yvonne was referring to the Ring camera that is missing from the Guthrie front door. If it captured any activity in the front yard those videos will be available from Ring servers even if the camera was destroyed.

Got it. I wonder if Ring footage was why they took dogs back to the property of the 2nd daughter today. That has the internet abuzz with speculation.

I heard that her camera was actually a Google "Nest" and not Ring, so I don't know how those operate. They said her subscription had lapsed so typically no footage is stored at all. With Ring cameras and no subscription, you can get alerts from the camera but no video is captured.

I just read this ,it is long and just took the time, and yes it is sad. But also unusual for it to be so important unlike millions of other disappearing's.
I hope she is ok and found soon.

I had never heard of Savannah Guthrie or her mother before, that i remember, although after reading about the meeting where she was interviewing Trump before the 2020 election (I think it was then), I do kind of remember that happening.

It was the idea that someone would kidnap an 84 year old lady out of her house in the middle of the night, and especially that she has a pacemaker and is dependent on her heart medications to stay alive.
At first, they said that she could not live more than a day without her meds, but here we are almost a week later, and they are still talking about the possibility that she is somehow alive because the ransom notes are still happening.

The pacemaker stopped communicating late Saturday night, but my pacemaker just “checks in” with the module that stays right beside my bed, and it syncs each night, so mine would probably not know exactly when I left . It sounds like her pacemaker syncs with her Apple Watch, which would mean that it constantly is updating, so it must be much more sophisticated than my pacemaker is.

While I think that it is unlikely that they will find her alive, unless this was some sort of planned hoax for some reason, I am hoping that they can find her alive. It sounded like they might have found something during the outlying area search, so it is possible that they have located her and just need enough evidence to charge the person who took her.

New ransom note details emerge: Guthrie’s purported abductor or abductors are demanding $6 million by Monday’s deadline of 5 p.m., CNN affiliate KGUN reported, citing a ransom note the station received. The note includes a threat to Guthrie’s life if the deadline isn’t met, according to KGUN.

Officials continue investigating second note sent Friday: Authorities say they’re still looking into the authenticity of a second note sent to CNN affiliate KOLD on Friday about Guthrie. The note, which mentioned no deadline, included sensitive information, according to a KOLD anchor.

Former FBI Deputy Director and CNN Senior Law Enforcement Analyst Andrew McCabe said there is “no question” in his mind that the agency helped the children of Nancy Guthrie craft their latest statement calling for their mother’s return.
