Miscellaneous chatting as the forum is being set up

Several years ago, I picked up a clicker from the training section at Petco, but it doesn't work. Despite laborious training sessions, I keep clicking it, and my wife still doesn't bring me coffee. Do you think I need something louder? I've tried a bell and a wooden thing that makes the sound of a railroad horn, and they don't get the appropriate response, either. There has to be a workable solution to this problem because I can't keep running upstairs to get coffee whenever I want some, and I don't always drink enough to make a whole pot downstairs.

You need to show her what you would like , @Ken Anderson .
Start bringing her coffee, tea, or whatever she enjoys drinking, every time you think about a cup of coffee. She will soon see how nice it is to have someone bring her coffee all the time , and want to do the same for you.
Maybe you have not been hearing her clicker either ?

Coffee?? .. Dark roast in my coffeemaker.. Make 2 very large mugs for us in the morning.. Bold and flavourful coffee is what we like... Mine is black and Annmarie likes hers with double cream..

Yes, for us, too ! Freezing here and the hot coffee is a NECESSITY ! McCafé Columbian for us (Bobby’s favorite, of course), black for Bobby and cream for me.
Have the little heater by my feet turned on and bundled up until we can get the room warmed up more.
