Kiwi

Kiwi is one of my favorite fruits, and generally considered to be a healthy fruit. Unfortunately, it doesn't fit into a low-residue diet, which I will have to be on for the rest of my life. I suppose I can have a kiwi every now and then, but it's not something I should be eating. What about the rest of you? Where does kiwi fit into your diets?

I like kiwi. I usually buy some when it is in season.

I might add that I really like all fresh fruit that is in season. I could live on fruit alone, if I had too. I guess I inherited that from my grandpa. He was a big fruit eater too.

I really like kiwi, but I do not eat it as often as most other fruits. I usually eat fruit with the skin on, but kiwi has that thick fuzzy skin. If I slice it thin, then I can eat it skin and all, but otherwise, I have too peel it to enjoy it.
I think if a person puts fruit into a blender and makes a smoothie, it is easier to digest becasue the fiber is broken down already.

I don't eat the skin on the kiwi either. I have to peel it because I find the skin kind of tough. They are expense little fruits for what you get too!

I like kiwi ok but seldom buy any unless they are on sale or I'm making a fresh fruit salad. Somehow that pop of green color makes fruit salad so much prettier. :D

We are also big fruit eaters, especially my husband. So we always look forward to the summer fruit in the store, especially melons and cantaloupe.

But you can grow your own if you have room..
I have a volunteer kiwi that decided to grow in our vegetable garden. It grows as high as whatever structure I put up for it each year, generally climbing on the stalks from its last year's growth. It doesn't bear fruit because there is only one plant. I have bought three other kiwi plants, but none of them came up the following year after planting.
