My MacBook upgraded to the newest iOS last night (Tahoe 26.5), and today it is nagging me about "Apple AI". This kind of irks me.
I have 26.5 and I haven't come across these nags yet, although when you go into the App Store, it's getting harder to find apps that aren't powered by AI.My MacBook upgraded to the newest iOS last night (Tahoe 26.5), and today it is nagging me about "Apple AI". This kind of irks me.
I'm a couple behind on my iPhone because of how I heard it changes the display to something transparent. I really don't feel like dealing with fixing it.
macOS has an option for transparent icons and the like, but it's only one of a few options. I haven't noticed anything significantly different on my iPhone, and I allow both to upgrade automatically, although it's not exactly automatic because it usually requires me to accept something.I'm a couple behind on my iPhone because of how I heard it changes the display to something transparent. Did it make the icons transparent by default, with you having to figure out how to reset them? I thought there was other stuff. I never lag updating the O/S (and always update my watch afterwards) but there seemed to be a list of stuff you had to manually revert.macOS has an option for transparent icons and the like, but it's only one of a few options. On my computers, the macOS upgrade made them opaque, but you can opt to change them back to the way they were, which is what I did, and I think there's at least one additional option. On my iPhone, unless it took my choices from my computer and carried them over to my phone, that wasn't the default, because I don't remember having to change them back on the iPhone, and they've been that way for quite a while. It wasn't hard to figure out how to make that change on my computers, anyhow, and I don't recall having to do anything with my phone.Did it make the icons transparent by default, with you having to figure out how to reset them? I know, it was just a matter of having to navigate through the settings to return things to normal. Dunno why I have such a block about this, other than settings can be buried in non-intuitive spots. You can choose to have the "transparent" icons or not, John. And FWIW, they aren't truly transparent so I don't notice much difference.

As @Yvonne Smith said, the opaque (transparent) icons weren't bad, but I preferred things the way they were. Then again, if I could, I'd still be using WordStar and OS/2.

I have the thing updating now. I hate change. I want my AUTOEXEC.BAT file back, dammit.
Did you say it was sometime last year when you updated the last time ?56 minutes remaining. Seriously?????
They still make dot matrix printers.Gimme CP/M and my dot matrix printer back. I bet I can recall some of the hexadecimal font commends.
I don't recall when the Transparent Icons update was released, so I last updated the one before that. I never let it go this long (for security purposes.) And it's "Preparing the Update." So it only took a little over half an hour.Did you say it was sometime last year when you updated the last time ?
Kidding, but it should not take that long. Maybe do it when you are in town and can connect to someone’s high speed internet connection next time. Most cafes will let you use their connection nowadays.
