It is going to be a good day.
Dreading a call with a former manager, mentor, employee. He left the workforce due to a stroke with complications, clawed his way back, got off SSI for three years when he was recruiting purple squirrels in AI development for a world leader and then turned part time night guard. He has to sell the house no matter what and move in with a friend while his sister moves in with family. Nothing fancy going on and a small house. What happened?

Thank you April. Brutal. I cannot ask blunt questions and do know some of the answers. He lied to himself which he has always done. Put up a smoke screen and lived his favorite persona. I admired him and he gave me a jump start in a cut throat industry. He gave me the legal verbiage to take on an international employer with a one line email and succeed. All I can do is listen and be there at this point.
