Hospice Just Delivered Everything

No unsolicited advice Beth, this thread is all about you and others here helping me to think about things.
I appreciate all advice and comments.

Great advice Beth, I agree hasty decisions can be costly, so I researched a little about the repercussions of it, says this.




"Revoking hospice is a patient's voluntary, legal right to stop Medicare hospice benefits at any time, often to pursue curative treatment or if their condition improves. It requires a signed, written statement with an effective date. Upon revocation, Medicare coverage returns to traditional coverage, and the patient may re-elect hospice later if eligible".



I didn't want hospice until we were at end, but Marie was in such pain for over six months felt it's over for her, so she called for a counsiltation which he moved us right on board; now Marie agrees with me that she may need the doctors for controlling the pain more so than hospice. Right now we don't need any stuff yet that they talked us into. Which they will take back; "unused".

Are your dogs by your and Jake’s side during this extremely stressful time in your life Marie …they know if you are in pain / mentally worn down and would be there to comfort you both with loving paws 🐾

It's tearing them up too. I just try to love them as much as I can, suffering with them, Poor "Marie", is the one we feel sorry for.
 
We had a wheelchair 'walker, everything they brought except oxygen. And I don't need oxygen yet.
Had breathing episode called Hospice ask what ER , they said they will send xray truck. :oops:
I told them I'm going to er not waiting till you find one, plus I want to see a real doctor. "Went to ER and they did my first cat scan of lungs and found multiple lesions and mass's so life span just got considerably shorter. Of ourse we all figured it started in lungs since I smoked since childhood.

Jake called them and told them we no longer need their help, and to come pick up the things they insisted we needed.
Jake told her to stop aggravating me I'm going thru enough and he will take care of me for now later we may need them but not now. Send the sign off form to sign out. She finally said ok.
 
Just remember that while we might all have opinions, ideas, thoughts, and prejudices, the choices are yours to make, and should meet your needs rather than to please anyone here. I doubt there's anyone here who doesn't want only the best for you, but the facts are that we're not there with you and, more importantly, we're not you, so you should never feel that we know better than you do, or that we know better than your doctors and other professionals you might be talking to. While everyone should take control of their own health decisions, this does not minimize the legitimate role of professionals.
