Guilty Pleasures Food Favorites and Snacks

I'm a firm believer in yielding to food cravings. There's a reason for the hankering.

Regarding banana sandwiches...I have never had a banana & peanut butter sandwich, or a banana-anything sandwich. It seems "wrong." (Reminds me of a friend in elementary school who always brought a peanut butter & pickle sandwich for lunch.)
you must of led a sheltered life John.. I like a bit of jelly, or honey with the PB and banana- tasty

Maybe it's a regional (southern) thing, since apparently Elvis made it famous and I grew up in Indiana. My Pennsylvania cousins liked milk in Pepsi, which I never have/never will try.

I have never had a banana sandwich "anything" neither. It doesn't sound good to me.

no mayo for me. most of the time I mix the jelly or jam and peanut butter together before spreading. And just slice banana onto the bread.

The smell of a peeled banana instantaneously reacts with my breakfast.
An assistant I groomed for my position wanted to hurry things along by spiking every trashcan in the office. It was immediate dismissal. Six more weeks and it would have been hers.

Spread some Dukes mayo on two slices of bread. Slice your banana the long way, place it on the bread........ enjoy. Do you know the proper way to peel a banana? I've been peeling bananas all my like and never knew the right way until a 12-year-old told me about 9 years ago.
Hand it to an adult with a pleading look on your face? (Although one ages out of the efficacy of that method.)

If you get between me and a piece of Brie you better have medical coverage:)
I worked for a French company, and they catered lunch every day (supposedly so the French would not wander off for the afternoon.) One day a week we would have cheese (including Brie), fruit, French bread, butter and yogurt. It was a nice, refreshing, filling-but-not-bloating meal.

I'll buy a piece of Brie every so often when I can get a small end-cut. But I believe it has a pretty short shelf life compared to most cheeses (as all soft cheeses do), so I can't eat an entire wheel.

Check some of the better markets which lucky you have in your area for wheels designed for sale by weight.

Kroger has had a kiosk in their stores from Murry's Cheese for the longest time (Kroger recently acquired Murry's.) They cut cheese off of the wheel and wrap it for sale, and usually have baskets of end cuts. I guess they could cut a large slice down for me if I ask. I usually grab an end cut of something I've never tried before.
