Gone but not forgotten SOC Members

With this new version of SOC, I am reminded of voices now missing from days gone by. Remembering Lon Tanner, Frank Sanoica, Bill Boggs, Hal Pollner, Babs Hunt, Sheldon Scott, Pam Sellers, Al Amoling, Robert Teale, Ike Willis, Gary Ridenour, and of course, Ina. I hope I'm not leaving anyone out; these are the ones I can recall.

If you know of others we have lost, please post them here. I'm sure Ken will have a Memoriam thread at some point and I hope we don't need it for a LONG time.

I'm thinking there was a guy named Phil but I can't remember his nickname.
That is ringing a bell, but who knows. There are only 12 threads in the Memorium forum.

I hate to conject. It might be sticking a pin in someone's Voodoo doll. Hoot Crawford may no longer be with us. And what about Tex Dennis? Didn't he have kidney issues?

Early on, I kept a list of regular posters so I could remember who they are and where they lived. I may have stopped maintaining it at some point, but I still have it. There are 57 names on it. There is no Phil.

There was a guy named Philip Bonifonte, but he didn’t really interact much on SOC. He was well-known early-on on SF, as Sifu Phil, and he arrived there from PL, just like I did. He and Ina were good online friends, but he passed away sometime around the same time as Ina did. I can’t remember if it was before or after that.
Since most of the early people knew him, that might be who you are remembering, @Beth Gallagher . I can’t think of anyone else with that name, or even close.

Yes, that was him, Yvonne. He was an interesting fellow.

Now that I think about it, Phil had a lady friend who also posted on the old SOC but she was more active on SF. I believe she died, too.

I was just thinking about Hoot and wondering if I should put him in the Roll Call thread. And you're right, Tex hasn't shown up either.

Some of you might recall Gary O'. As far as I know Gary is still kickin', but has lost his vision and no longer participates on forums.

I can’t remember what she went by on SOC, but Phil’s girlfriend was said to have passed away. I think that she went by Sacheen Brighteagle, (or something similar to that) on here and Shalimar over there. Gary was here for a while, too, but not very active.
Hoot is still on SF and I will send him a message and let him know that SOC is back.

I messaged Hoot, and he said he would give it a try, so we might see him soon.

I am back as Buckeye - couldn't remember my name from then. Hoot was my toy poodle, and has been gone for a number of years.
Oh my goodness! So good to see you. Of course you are forever "Hoot Crawford" to us!! How are you?? (You might remember that SOC uses "real" sounding names whether they are actually real or not, so Ken will likely ask you to change Buckeye. )
