The word "Some" was missing.
Much like someone asking, "Why do women murder their husbands to collect life insurance payouts?"Or, "Why do women cheat on their husbands & expect instant forgiveness?"
Years ago, I worked at a home health agency. The owner of the company had a friend of hers come in to sell a "self-defense" tool to the nurses who did home visits - mostly women. The $20.00 device was a small can that let out a loud noise to scare away an attacker. Of course, to help sell it, the saleslady told some scary tales about women who were attacked & how this device could have....saved them.
One such tale was about a lady on a first date who invited the guy into her apartment for coffee after dinner out. He tried to force himself on her. When she got angry & told him to get out, he said, "You wouldn't have invited me in if you didn't want it."
"One of the nurses asked, "Why do men act that way?"
I was quiet until that point; I didn't make fun of the silly noisemaker or anything.
I said, "Just a minute. This morning, during my shower, I noticed that I'm a man & I don't act that way."
Well, at least she got the message & said she was sorry.
