THEY'RE HERE !!! .................. BOY ARE THEY EVER HERE .....!!!!!
Today we were totally infested with a combination of black flies and mosquitoes.. Both at the same time..
We all knew they were coming, but when they arrive, it is something else up here...
The black flies don't last for very long, only about 3 or 4 weeks, but the mosquitoes are here till the frost in fall..
After the wild winter we just had, the bugs are very plentiful this year..

It’s a long weekend here Holiday Monday , for King Charles ..it used to be the Queens birthday long weekend and she was the Queen for so long it’s still hard to say it’s kings birthday holiday ..now

We are going to be away , but won’t be going far as it’s cold wet and freezing 🥶🥶 top.of about 14c most days = 56 F

I love the sounds of your new bathroom! Go easy, because at our age we get pooped out so easily.

I have been helping hubby with landscaping and have been overdoing it every time. Trying to be here every day but simply can't right now, but hopefully when things die down in another few weeks or so, I'll be able to get back to my regular routine.

Hugs in the meantime! 🤗
 
I will not be on here as much as lately as there is a ton of work to be done on our land.. After working outside, even if it is only for a few hours, I am pooped and don't have the ambition to use the computer... I just want to relax and do nothing to unwind..
At my age, I'm still working the fields with my tractor and also keeping the place groomed and looking good.. Weather permitting of course.. When it rains, I get a day off.......... I also do the food shopping and all the cooking..
I also have 2 raised vegetable gardens to attend to.... Weeding and watering daily is another chore..
I will come on here and post a few times now and then and lurk a bit..
My get up and go got up and went.................................... That's about the best way I can say it..

Awww... don't feel bad, Steve, I'll be 63 this fall and my giddy-up-go is nothing like it used to be. I've always been fit as a fiddle, no underlying health issues, lots of energy, yet I feel age creeping in more and more. I was reading that 60 is the magic number where serious life changes start becoming more noticeable and that's me. I feel it big time.

Hubby and I still try and push ourselves from day to day, but nothing compared to the likes of when we were younger. Putting in a full day now is off the radar for us, we try and go for 2-3 hours, but that's about it. I get a little sad when I see my life slipping away like this, but if I can see another 20-30 years more, eve with a reduced level of energy, I'm good with that.

I call it puttering now, and I do think staying busy with little things is a good thing, and let's face it, this is a busy time of year for most of us. From fall until spring, that's when I have the most disposable time on my hands, but trying to fit everything in outside, then once back inside again, cleaning up and preparing something for mealtime, I'm dead on my feet.

Many nights I drag my tired sorry rear-end out of the bathtub and from there it's straight into bed.

Here's hoping that when fall rolls around this year, we gamers will be back full-swing again. That's my hope.

I am taking mini breaks ! Played a bit this morning on the games ....Will do more maybe tomorrow .

Still remodelling the bathroom ..today is choosing some tiles & a lot of clean up to do
