Can someone explain the "drop one, exchange one" rule? Thanks.

Take the word and drop one letter and exchange it for another letter making a complete new word..
For example.... take the word ... lest... It could become best or even the word tell or the word seat..
What you did was drop one letter and make a new word...

Be it 4 letters or more, doesn't matter.. Its the same way..

I find the games quite relaxing and also they are considered a "time waster" by some which I don't agree with..
