Hubs forward this interesting story onto me this morning about how dentists are detecting diabetes in patients coming for dental treatment

It’s a medical news story out of the UK and only a fairly new story so it’s not as if it’s been sitting on the web for years therefore being outdated news

It’s a interesting heath warning article regarding how some who are not they have diabetes and it’s being detected by a simple visit to the dentists

Interesting. I've never had a blood test at the dentist. My husband's cousin was diagnosed with MS after having an eye exam. The optometrist told her she had eye changes that were significant in MS patients, so she saw a neurologist and it turned out she does have Multiple Sclerosis.
Yep someone I know went for a simple yearly eye test

The Optometrist was concerned by a shadow in the the patients eye , but didn’t have the equipment to investigate further, but he phoned a specialist in the city
It turned out the patient had a brain tumour
