Dave Mason, Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Who Co-Founded Traffic Dies at 79

Dave Mason, solo artist, a founding member of the band Traffic, writer of the classic rock songs “Feelin’ Alright” and “Hole in My Shoe” has died, according to an announcement from his publicist. No cause of death was announced, although ill health forced him to cancel a tour last year; he was 79.

This is my favorite Dave Mason song, "Only You Know and I Know."

Most think Three Dog Night wrote Feelin Alright, but it was Dave Mason. I love the guitar work his guitarist does on this video.

I was going to post Traffic's "Low Spark of High-Heeled Boys", which was my favorite Traffic song. Then I read that Dave had already left Traffic when that song (by Steve Winwood) came out.

Anyway, RIP Dave. Thanks for the music.
