Coming Soon - Healthy M&M's

So did they increase the amount of sugar or has it always been 20g? I recall years ago (maybe 40) a coworker told me that white sugar is refined with formaldehyde, so she avoided it. I don't know what sweetener she used. Personally, I won't use anything but sugar, and I mostly use the unrefined stuff that ALDI sells, but have no control on which form of sugar included in the stuff I buy. And I don't recall RFK Jr specifically putting forth an opinion on sweeteners.

I will say that I've started chewing gum as a way to avoid the high-calorie snacking I had been doing, and that's generally not available with anything but artificial sweeteners.

It has always been 20 gms sugar as far as I know.

Speakin'a sugar. A friend of mine used to put seven teaspoons of it in a cup of coffee.
That stuff sets my teeth on edge. When I first moved to this rural location and would eat out, I did not realize that if I ordered an iced tea with my meal the default assumption would be I wanted the Diabetes Special. I can no more watch people drink that stuff than I can watch someone suck on a lemon.

When I was looking for an alternative to ice cream, I started eating vanilla flavored yogurt, thinking it was healthier than Bryer's or the "fruit [jelly] on the bottom" stuff. I was woefully wrong. All yogurts except the tart plain stuff have as much sugar in them as ice cream. The stupid thing is you eat yogurt for the probiotic benefits, while the sugars it contains damage your gut biome.

In the South, sweet tea is the default. I drink iced tea, but without a sweetener.

M&Ms have been garbage since 2000 when they changed all thier candy to SKIM MILK!! (When it was whole milk as far as I remember)

I used to eat them by the pounder -- Was not happy when they changed them...
