I don't know if anyone here follows the WNBA, but it was a backwater sports league until the arrival of a superstar from the University of Iowa named Caitlin Clark. She is to the WNBA what Michael Jordan were to the NBA. Unfortunately, the
White star is being targeted violently by the Black players in the league and the refs are allowing it to happen. Right now analysts say that Clark is responsible for 25% of the WNBA revenue and is the reason that NBC sports is negotiating a large contract with the league. This type of activity was not seen in the NBA that I remember, but it is sad that it is being allowed in women's sports.
 
The women's league never covers its own costs. They are subsidized by the men's league, and they still whine about "unequal pay." Here's the latest transgression against Caitlin that drew a minor foul:

Caitlin seem to be on the verge of bailing and heading to a European league (although as a woman she'll be more at risk walking the streets there than she is on the court here.)

Since it's not white-on-black, there are people who will tell you that it's not racism. The pot shall forever be stirred if we let it. It's all meant to divide us and try to destroy civilized society.

edit to add: You have one player accounting for 215% of the league's revenue, and it's still nowhere near solvent. People are not interested in women's basketball.
