Bird cams and other outdoor cameras that people watch

At Sandpoint, there is an osprey nest near the lake, and there is a bird cam set up so that people can watch the ospreys build their nest lay the eggs and raise their baby osprey chicks. Last year, a pair of geese got to the nest before the ospreys did, and the goose had babies in the nest instead.
I looked at the osprey cam, but the nest is still covered in snow, so no ospreys there, yet.

There's a falcon cam set up on one of the buildings in our state capital. For some reason, they pick that location to nest year after year. Poor buggers get no privacy.

I watch the Big Bear eagle cam.

The eagles' names are Shadow and Jackie.

Predator birds broke the first two eggs. Jackie has laid two more. I am so hoping that they hatch. It's interesting to watch the hatchlings grow up. At first, their little heads wobble so much that you wonder how such a fragile thing can survive.

This morning Getty killed one of our favorite doves, I like to watch doves walk around the yard, they don't look like they are walking more like rolling around on little wheels. The other one got away.
We used to be infested with robins in the spring but the last few winters ended late with a lot of snow and the numbers dwindled with nothing for them to eat. A few survived again this year but I can't imagine the worms are up yet.

I've been here for 15 years and about 3 years a go some crap factory took a liking to the side view mirror of my car. Every...single...day. Sir Poopsalot came back last year, and he's been back this year for a couple of weeks.

Did you watch last year's hatchlings, Gizmo and Sunny? I actually got choked up when they finally took their first flights. Dang stupid birds. LOL.

I have followed the Southwest Florida eagles for years and have been deeply invested in their lives, crying at times. Nature can be so rough, but also so inspiring.

A few years ago the SWF male "E15" lost his mate Harriet just a few days after her two eaglets hatched. We all thought they would die with only their father to raise them, but he brought them all the way to fledge, by himself, hunting fish and protecting them from predators at the same time.

I think the eagle is my favorite big bird. I like watching hawks too but the eagles are so beautiful and majestic. I use to watch the eagle cams but I had to stop. I get too obsessed with them. I will watch and worry over them all day long and not get anything else done. They are wonderful birds too watch though! I love watching eagles soar through the air. When I see one, they stop me in my tracks and I watch them in awe.

I love Jackie and Shadow❤️❤️

My brother said eagles have has a resurgence in NE Ohio. He sees one or two occasionally fly over the family farm. He isn’t far from LaDue Reservoir where there are nests.
