AI In Healthcare

"On Dec. 4,2025 we detected unauthorized activity on certain activity within our networks.

This information may have included your name, social security number, state identification number, treatment information, date of birth, and medical record number." This from a medical provider.

This makes twice in the last year that I have received a letter like this. They say remain vigilant, blah, blah, blah. They offer 12 months credit monitoring and identity protection services.

A few years ago, the computers at NCDMV were hacked. I received a letter from them saying about the same thing.

Everything is already out there so it can hardly be worse. Maybe AI will not be as bad. 🤷‍♀️
I got 2 letters like that within 30 days of each other: a 3rd party healthcare billing service (all my personal information plus health insurance credentials) and an incorporated township I left in 2010. This is how Medicare Fraud happens. The hackers have my credentials and can bill Medicare for the expensive stuff (in-patient care) just as the Somalis in Minnesota have been doing. Billions of dollars from multiple "facilities" all at the same street address, and it's never questioned.

The thing about AI is that the machines might be able to spoof each other. There was one case I posted here or elsewhere where META (a Facebook AI creation) was implemented as Customer Service for a social media company Facebook owns. Hackers contacted AI Customer Service claiming they had lost the password to their account, and rather than send a temporary password to the email address that's on record, the hackers got AI Customer Service to change the email address on the account to that of the hackers, and then reset the password. Hackers got control on a ton of accounts for some highly visible users. I guess that's a lot more helpful than the humans were, huh?
