A Creative Find Got Me Thinking

Hello everyone :)

I was going through some of my old things this weekend and found a little stack of handmade greeting cards I made years ago. I used to spend hours painting tiny designs and picking just the right sayings. It always felt like a little creative escape.

Do any of you have hobbies or small projects that you come back to that make you feel relaxed or happy? I’d love to hear what keeps other people busy these days!

Hi, James. Most of my hobbies don't include "close work" these days because my eyesight is not great. I have tried my hand at lots of things... knitting, crochet, stained glass, etc. Then I moved on to culinary stuff like baking breads and trying new recipes.

For the past few years I have been busy with Aerogardens and hydroponic gardening, plus in the spring and summer you will find me out in the real dirt. From gardening I branched out into canning, pickling, fermenting, and all methods of food preservation. (Small batch because it's just 2 of us now.)

Keeping SO and a couple of straphangers fed, keeping the vegetable garden up, finding projects for SO, casting, keeping his competition costumes one step ahead of the game.
