I've pretty much lost my hearing, and sense of smell and taste. I miss being able to enjoy a good song, or really enjoy a glass of good wine, or to smoke a good cigar. Simple pleasures. Not much left for us at this point.

Busy day. 8 o'clock Dr visit, then trip to drug store to pick up meds for lady friend, then pick up laundry, then hair cut, and finally stop in the license bureau to get a handicap parking placard. Home by noon. Been a veg for the rest of the day. Did have a nice nap in the late afternoon...

I won't be watching. Not sure if the Games have lost their luster or if its just me being too old. The politics are nothing new. The 1968 Summer Olympics in Mexico City, with the Black Power salute, was the first such incident that I remember.
