The ad didn't mention any age group or chicken pox; just said ":99% of people."

I also don't have any memory of chicken pox, but I must have had it since I had shingles 41 years ago.

The ad I saw said, "99% of people over fifty already have the virus that causes shingles". I have never known anyone to die from shingles, but my wife's friend who has the encephalitis form shingles that first developed in her eyes may be the first. She is 72 I think and has been a type diabetic since age 12. Shingles can cause a lot of misery though. I did see a Native kid whop was near death from chicken pox. He was expected to die, but he was medevac'd to a larger facility and I don't recall if he made it.

I didn't think I had ever had chicken pox, either. Don't remember ever having it so I must have been very young. At any rate, I had a mild case of shingles in 2017. My doctor put me on the anti-viral medication and the rash only lasted a couple of weeks on one arm.

I've had both vaccines. I think the first was Shingrix, then "they" came out with one that was either more effective or longer lasting.

I have not had the shingles vaccine and I don't plan to get one. I also don't take flu shots, pneumonia vaccine, etc. I like living on the edge. :p

Same. I have had only one flu shot in my life, which was in the 70's for the Swine Flu. I have not had any other vaccines and do not plan to, if all possible.

I am pretty sure that I've never had chickenpox because, as far as I can recall or have heard, the only major illness I had as a child was the (mother-diagnosed) flu once, which I remember well. I did hear about one of my older brothers having chickenpox, and he saw a doctor for that, so I would assume that I would have as well.

I had all the childhood diseases except pertussis/ whooping cough. In those days, pertussis was cause for quarantine and every kid in the neighborhood got it except my brother and myself. Either we were immune or the disease was so mild we didn't get sick. I have had shingles vaccine and pneumonia, but the flu shots ended in the last century for me. I am old and done with vaccines.

Morgan Spurlock, Super Size Doc guy, died recently at 53, terminal cancer, and it's published that he got many shots and urged and urged all his buddies to get them too. It's been reported more cancer cases since covid shots..,

^^^^^ That's all I've been hearing lately. A few months ago, I needed an Rx refill & I mentioned it to the Dr. He said, "Uh....yes....more people are getting cancer....uh.....but we're....treating it better......" What a pile of self-flattering BS!
Also, I noticed every time I open the news page, more & more people are dying between 40-75.
