I can understand wanting to 'share the land'. I've mentioned commune type living situations a few times here. The right kind of people and it would be possible.

We had one of these laces get burned down in brush fires a few weeks ago. I was gonna kick them some bucks, just to help those who have avoided the rat race. I went on the website and saw a bunch if the "Woke" stuff. Certain groups are elevated above others...we can guess who's at the bottom of the stack. And these people are a member of the Federation of Egalitarian Communities.

The Federation of Egalitarian Communities is a group of egalitarian communities which have joined together with the common purpose of creating a lifestyle based on equality, cooperation, and harmony with the Earth. Uh, no, it isn't.

John this would have to be a temporary stay for me, to see whats going on. Lot of questions before making the move, although with the right kind of rules agreed on, it could work.

I'm going up into Oregon on the 22nd and I know the venom has spread into my home-State, but my bestie and hubby live in a beautiful place way up the Umpqua River and I'll get to feel "home" again at least. The country-folk are still alive and kicking, and fighting big government, maybe that where I get my fight from. I'll be so glad to be back if only for a short time. I'll also be looking for rentals so wish me luck, I'll need it for that.

My friend's place is so kick-back, no worrying of my truck being broken into, or weird people coming in the building here. Plenty of yard plus trails to get out of this cracker-box :D

I am happy you get to see it before it is gone if rumors are true. I heard the government is making it illegal to use water for small farms and gardens. You can still HAVE a garden, you just can't water it. Let us know what is going on there.

anything bad you hear about Oregon is pretty much true. It started being infested with liberals from California way back when. Don't think it isn't coming for the rest of the US as well. This is a disease that won't be stopping, until the world ends. I put this up on my FB but should have posted it here as well I guess. I started listening to this guy (he has several where his wife and he travel and talk to folks) awhile back when I saw the title of this vid:

I grew up there in the Lookingglass Valley near Winston. What a wonderful part of my childhood that was. I'm so sad more kids don't get to play in the mud, build a fort, stay out til nightfall when mom would call us in.

It's a wonder there are so many suicides in younger folks. If I was one today, I'd see no future for myself at all living in one of our cities.

I sure understand that. Hard enough to get along with neighbors, much less a commune clique.:D

I won't go as far as some of the opinions above, but I understand where they are coming from and I see the excesses from the other side which seem to be driving the bus of society toward the cliffs of a looming chasm.

It really does feel like things are going to reach a breaking point before the lead foot releases the accelerator pedal.

I don't care for the wild swing things have taken but I worry about the dangers of a compensating swing the other way trying to establish a sane balance and overshooting it the other way.
