When this came out in 1970 I was still too young to appreciate it. I was never a Dead Head, but today I'm not sure which I like best, the rolling march of its beat, or the road-hypnosis dreamstate lyrics delivery.

I wish a few groups would break out and start making music in the old vein once more. Ditch the autotune and thickly plastered face makeup, have unique sounds and relatable lyrics, etc. The faux corn-tree coming out today might be some of the worst.

Watching that video reminded me of something I learned when watching the movie, "Bohemian Rhapsody." Freddie Mercury never had his teeth fixed because he feared corrective dental work or extractions would alter his voice and four-octave range. He had a condition called hyperdontia—four extra teeth that pushed his front incisors forward—and believed the extra space in his mouth was the secret to his singing ability.
