What would be your heaven?

That question was asked in Bible study the other day.
"I go to prepare a mansion for you." Not sure that is the exact statement made. Maybe a place will be made for you?
I definitely would not care to be exalted nor would I want a mansion.
I would prefer a lovely, sunny day in a natural setting with my horses and animals around. Oh, and my folks.

I have often considered exactly what would be the point of any afterlife, and I don't believe in heaven or hell. I can't wrap my head around billions of disembodied spirits just hanging around for eternity, and I mean no disrespect to anyone who believes in it.

I suppose "heavenly" for me would mean pain free, happy, plenty of sunshine, and people I love (not necessarily in that order). Also seeing my precious little dog, Harry again.

I didn't even have to think of an answer. I actually had a dream about it many years ago & when I woke up I was really angry when I realized it was only a dream & I tried to get back into it by going back to sleep (which didn't work).
I was sitting next to a tree & hundreds of animals approached me; all types, including dangerous ones, & they sat next to me & let me pet them.

Oh, there's plenty of room for all of us - there are 200,000,000,000,000,000,0000,000 (a billion trillion) stars in the known universe, and at least that many planets. I'm hoping my family is in one of the nicer neighborhoods, with a good golf course and a pool, and a nice Italian restaurant nearby.

I really can’t convey the words.
Just like hearing about, reading about and seeing pictures of a complete 3 tiered rainbow, the grand canyon or Niagara Falls isn’t enough until I actually experienced them for myself and be completely beyond awed to the point that the raw emotion can’t be interpreted by mere words.

When I read the various descriptions of heaven as portrayed in the Bible, somehow I just know that they are only symbolic in nature because there is probably nothing in the human experience that is even close in comparison to the wonders I hope to see.
I hope to see Jesus and His apostles and the major figures written about in the Bible and also to know and experience all the wonders of the Universe/ God’s creation.

And….as a bonus to all of that, provided that I actually make it to whatever reward that might be, to reunite with loved ones (and even past pets) would be uh…again…beyond words!

I expect that, if I am so fortunate as to see it, I will find that heaven is much different than I anticipated, and, more importantly, it will be far different than it would be if I were truly able to design my own heaven. The Scriptures allude to, but don't define heaven, so most of what we might think we know about it are ideas formed by the imaginations of the authors.
